Tax on Blogs
This is inspired by "Left asks FM to tax richer people".
That India is a developing country is a given.
That there are million of her citizens who live in most degrading circumstances, condemned to a vicious cycle of poverty and unemployment is also understood.
To uplift its toiling masses from the abject humiliation that passes off as life, should be a project of a righteous nation and the foundation of a just society.
The other aspect ,and one which is much more important,of this human tragedy is the shame and distress our bleeding hearts intellectuals are subjected, having to share the air with such ignoble and ignorant people.
Therefore in order that our intellectuals are able to indulge in inherited snobbery in a rarefied air, such a stench must be removed.
But such an ambitious project will require a lot of determination and what is more important, financial resources for implementation.Naturally the resource can be raised only from those who have it in the first place.Obviously this rules out our toiling masses, also, the clique of bleeding hearts and well meaning but clueless (for reference see WMBC) can not be expected to pay (yes this is not obvious, but logic is not a pre-requisite for noble intentions, refer to the guide). This means that rich people should be taxed for such exalted scheme as REGS (Regular extortion guaranteed scandal)
However it is a shame that even after five decades of five-year plans and best intentions, the masses owing to their religion, obstinately choose to remain poor. This means that the existing schemes are not sufficient , the obvious conclusion is to implement even more schemes (after all if a bucket is leaking, the obvious solution is to pour more water into it! Elementary Watson).
Towards that goal, I propose to increase the taxes on "rich people". Here it is immaterial how we define "rich", I am at peace with any definition, as long as I am not in that list. However for help refer to the biggest con of them all.In order to raise even more money for the hare brained welfare schemes , luxury goods such are watches should be taxed.
Here I come to the point, which is blogs are for obvious reasons (which I refuse to elaborate) luxury goods, this means that bloggers should be taxed for blogging (this does not include me), further the tax rate should be based on factors like the popularity of the blogs, the page views , no of indibloggies awards and the hits.
This will mean that elite bloggers like Ravi, Amit, Tarun , Nitin and Atanu will be taxed to within inch of their death.
Lesser mortals like Shivam , Gaurav (not me )and the riff raff will be charged at a rate which will not be fatal, but sufficient to cause trauma and regression into infancy.
Others may be pardoned, on the condition that they sell their immortal soul to Satan.
This proposal will be sent to contemporary intellectual giants such as Sitaram Yechury, Prakash Karat and the gang
