Why do you need rocket launchers for genocide ?
Update: By the way Rohit is on mark, with a minor correction. One needs shovels, even buckets of salt as far as latest "expose" goes, frankly speaking it is absolutely sickening the way "secular"brigade is cheapening words like genocide, pogrom, and holocaust. Otherwise at least to me Narendra Modi is guilty of omission or at any rate incompetence. There is such a thing called Dharma, and to me he deviated from his dharma. Although I am afraid the discussion is moot. As I earlier mentioned in passing Hindu-Muslims strife is centuries old, not something which was invented by Sangh. Common sense would dictate a dialog, unfortunately for India that is a scarce commodity.

Well, I don't know if I am becoming pseudo-secularb but senior VHP leaders implicating themselves while making statements to the effect that Modi gave them three days time etc., congratulated them - that is ample evidence whatever a court of law might consider evidence. I was not convinced with any other argument that was offered till now. Particularly, if you allege that Modi wasn't efficient enough you better put that in context by comparing with how responsive Indian state governments were in similar situations. Why, even the Katrina relief operations in US were criticized for mismanagement. So the point is that while Modi was sloppy it is doubtful any other Indian state or central government would do any better. As for justice to the victims, the same holds - it is common for powerful vested interests to pay their way to escaping punishment, what has that particularly to do with Modi?
And as disgusting as it may sound, one wouldn't expect a political party to criticize the riots and thereby lose the votes of several potential supporters ( which political party would preempt a landslide victory just for making a criticism )?
If there is any reasonable evidence against Modi, this Tehelka report seems to me to be the only one. And if the allegations are true, election time IS the best time for them to come out. If he should go, proactive role in fomenting murder is the reason he should go, not inefficiency which anyway is the norm in this country. For otherwise it will fade out of peoples' memory and the villain will not be removed.
In addition - I think the only reference to RSS is that some tribal leader mentioned "RSS people" or "ask VHP or RSS leaders" etc. - that is no solid evidence against RSS. Because I have seen it very common to attach the "RSS" tag to people who talk fanatically, even if they have no connection with the actual san.gh at all.
Finally, is there still hope that some flaws in the exposes will be found?

But the case of gujarat and babri masjid is entirely different.
Hindus have been under a seige for the last 1000 years from mohd.of ghazni to aurangzeb to jinnah to genocide in east bengal to kashmir.
The gujaratis not known for martial prowess have been at the receiving end for a 1000 years.This suffering has not contributed a little in the making of the mahatma or a sardar patel.
Recently madhavsingh solanki introduced KHAM reservation in the true spirit of a modern congressman.
Modi is not casteist or corrupt.The gujaratis are as far from linguistic chauvinism as can be.The difference is stark when compared with TN or even punjab.
Modi being 'backward' can be accused of having the zeal of a new convert.The savarnas or forward castes would definitely have dirtied their hands so much.
If anyone is at fault,it is the RSS leadership which should take the moral responsibility for not restraining modi.They deserve to be sent to the gallows.
But this episode makes me pessimistic about india when i see the zeal of nincompoops aka the english media.
When i see the likes of nram,rajdeep,prannoy,prafool bidwai,tejpal,sankarshan thakur i am sick.
Gaurav,All these pseudo savarna/brahmanas are poison killing our nation.Their prententious humanism/liberalism and theatrical anguish has to be stopped.Otherwise we are going to be a basket case.I pray to God that he sends some commando types who can take out these guys quietly.
