Strength of Hinduism
Sandeep in this post writes, what I think should be the answer to "Hinduism has survived for blah blah years and will continue to survive",

These people claim to have read the Gita but they are either lying it or they haven't understood its essence for one of the very first things that Krishna does is to chastise Arjuna to cast away his meek-heartedness and fight for his duty. A majority of us have no clue of what duty faces us and our meek-heartedness forbids us to even think about it. And we therefore sit happily in our self-imposed stupor, chanting the strength of Hinduism Mantra. ......"
Completely agree with this. Hinduism survived for so many years not because it was ordained by God, but because there was a vitality in it.
Hinduism had no prophets to reveal divine words, what it had rishis who sought and founded Hinduism
Where are Rishis of today ? Hinduism is rusting and if left in the attic for too long, will become a memory of the past.
It will not happen tomorrow or even next century, but this will happen. It will be first of its kind, a civilization which became extinct just because the people wouldn't give a damn.
PS. This is easily among one of the better posts that I have read.

Is the final stuff in italics your conclusion or are you quoting a poem?
How can we say that there aren't RShis today? There are many RShis, though neither of us is in a position to comment on how great they are etc. What I do know is that there still exist quite a few devotees who continue attempts to really learn and practise. Though they are decreasing and followers are increasingly finding peer pressure. On the plus side, a lot of the philosophy that had been denied to the dalits are now available to them, so that the number of sincere practitioners might have increased.
Going once in a while to spiritual places and interacting with people there might be a good idea - to actually see that there exist many several genuinely practising people. Indeed, that doesn't mean we should fight; nor is it obvious that hinduism is safe.

I admit there are Rshis Today.
but they are so much of rarity.
The point I was trying to make was that modern India has no respect for Rshis, on the contrary, any
thrust for knowledge is mocked by our intellectuals,the recent example is on Baba Raamdev ofcourse.
