Meeting Musings - I
1) Hypothetically if Dante knew about persons who will ask nonsensical and long winded questions, what place in hell he would have assigned or he might have to invent 10th circle for them.
From another perspective are such people means by which God(s) punish us.
2) Our bade sahib quipped during his talk that if some one were to sell a car to customer by explaining on what is the latest innovation in engine or profile of the body it will be futile.
According to him customer will be more interested in date like price and milage. This statement depends on the assumption that customer seeks relevant information. That is he displays rationality or he is a homo economicus.
However as advertisers, market gurus and salesmen over world will vouch, more often than not customers can be persuaded by irrelevant statistics, the trick is to include the buzzwords in fashion along with loads and loads of data. This is because customer not only doesn't look for relevant information, he doesn't want relevant data, because that will call for judgement and it is a hard thing.
This brings us to the conclusion that customer is a subset of new species "Homo Ignoramus".
