Aphorism: Nature

Nature properly understood is a cruel tyranny. Struggle for survival is drive behind desire for authority and deliberate suppression of others. It is only after humans secured the safety in form of society that they could throw off the yoke of Nature. Seen in this light freedom is an artificial construct with no possible meaning beyond the context of human society.
