The best arguement against rhetoric of rationalism has been provided by his holiness.
This once again substantiate the arguments of Meera Nanda that the framers of Indian policy after independence, possibly excluding Nehru, are the culprits for the current situation with Hindutva right. Most of the yester year policy framers, except Nehru and a handful of few, were guided by spiritual thinking than rational thinking. This lead to their definition of secularism as one that includes all religions instead of excluding all the religions as in USA. Even with the exclusionary definition, US is having trouble containing the religious fundamentalists. An inclusionary definition of secularism is a good breeding ground for religious fundamentalism. That has resulted in fundamentalists of all religions holding the people at their dumbest level.
Verily Jagadguru works in mysterious ways.

Amazing stuff... I dont read much of JagadGuru. I did not know how much knowledge, logic and facts I was missing. I had no idea that JagadGuru can be such great source of entertainment.. oops.. vast storehouse of knowledge.
