From Kill Bill 2. Personally speaking I always preferred the second part to the first one. While first one had the stylized action sequences suitably aided by anachronistic narration (a standard Tarantino device),the second one was preferable because first the story was much more substantial and second the way change of pace in narration was handled.
Sadly for me, Hostel turned me off to a degree that I can not muster the courage to watch Grindhouse.
Reg. The Dark Knight
1. I liked it.
2. Having said that, it could have been shorter.
3. And what's this obsession with two villains. Why can't they stick to a single one. There was no time to savour Two face, a villain as fascinating as Joker.
4. I have always believed that Batman should be noir. While those helmed by Tim Burton were dark, noir element was weak. This movie manages to introduce noir and handle it.
5. I believe it has been suggested by smart pants that Batman is merely a prop, to highlight, more interesting, antagonists. They are certainly right.
6. Christian Bale is good as Batman, but movie belongs to Heath Ledger. As Joker he is menacing. He is a serious contender for Oscar. But I have a soft corner for the way Jack Nicholson infused sheer mania in the character.

Once upon a time I had high regards for you, now I am just embarrassed for you. Why, oh why, you had to go all nuts on us Hindutva fascists. For the record, there was no "deep-rooted conspiracy between the bomb blasts that took place in Karnataka and Gujarat and the cash-for-vote scam". Get a grip madam, we don't want to lose us. In hindsight your mental disintegration started when you threatened to shave your head if our lady of 10 Janpath became PM. Seriously, to sensible people (which excludes the clique which holds sway in BJP), you (and BJP) came off as sore losers in the drama. Sadly people like you have just strengthened this perception in last few years.

This is how I think media is going to frame the bomb blasts. It is done in retaliation against people who have the audacity to elect BJP, from this our secular liberal overlords will conclude that fault lies with BJP and people who are communal/fascists/Nazi enough to elect the party, and therefore if the peace is to be restored BJP/RSS/VHP must be first ex-communicated from decent society, then when no one is looking done away with this inconvenience to secularism.
Of course eventually there will bomb blasts in states ruled by "secular" forces, but by that time secular agenda will be accomplished, either that or some way will be found to blame BJP, because you know this shit started with Babri Masjid demotion/Mumbai riots/Gujarat riots, that every thing was roses before that, that Partition is a dead memory of no significant import, that the Muslims are always victims and every Hindu a potential terrorist (unless of course he is a self loathing dhimmi)
Let's be clear, terrorism will continue and no one can stop it, not even BJP (we saw it during their last term). For we are dhimmis lurching along our inevitable annihilation.
Today, I sincerely hope that secularism succeeds in its project which is complete destruction of Indian republic. We are the rotten corpse of a glorious past, we must be dismembered, just like Devi Sati was.
